23rd Annual Jewish Film Festival

The San Diego Center for Jewish Culture presents the 23rd annual Jewish Film Festival! The Festival offers outstanding world cinema that promotes awareness, appreciation and pride in the diversity of the Jewish people to attendees of the community at large. Festival programs aim to educate and illuminate through evocative, independent fiction and documentary films that portray the Jewish experience from current to historic global perspectives. Guest speaker Professor Bronwyn Leebaw, Department of Political Science, University of California, Riverside. Leebaw received her Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley. She has taught courses in human rights, political theory, international politics, transitional justice, and feminist theory. Her research has examined the changing relationship between human rights and humanitarian movements, the development of truth commissions and war crimes tribunals, and diverse approaches to transitional justice. A new project examines efforts to establish accountability for the environmental legacies of conflict.
