BOLD: The Art of DNA Barcoding

This interactive exhibition of tropical biodiversity art, science and technology features innovative Seattle artist Joseph Rossano's biodiversity scuplture series inspired and accompanied by acclaimed tropical ecologist Dr. Daniel H. Janzen's caterpillar and butterfly photographs from Area de Conservacion Guanacaste (ACG), Costa Rica.

Toni Morrison's The Bluest Eye

The Bulest Eye tells the story of one year in the life of a young black girl on 1940s Ohio. Eleven year old Pecola Breedlove wants nothing more than to be loved by her family and schoolmates. Left to fend for herself, she blames her dark skin and prays for blue eyes, sure that love will follow. The Bluest Eye paints a portrait of the legacy of racism on a young girl's psyche. 23rd Annual Jewish Film Festival

The San Diego Center for Jewish Culture presents the 23rd annual Jewish Film Festival! The Festival offers outstanding world cinema that promotes awareness, appreciation and pride in the diversity of the Jewish people to attendees of the community at large. Festival programs aim to educate and illuminate through evocative, independent fiction and documentary films that portray the Jewish experience from current to historic global perspectives.
