Metaloci: Points of Transformation

"Metaloci: Points of Transformation" is an exhibition curated by the San Diego Mesa College Museum Studies Program at the Mission Valley Library. Featured artists: Jenny Armer, Teresa Chen, Scott Genglebach, Daniele Fratarcangeli, Joshua Krause, Miguel Milló, Reinhart Selvik, and Charity Vincent. “Metaloci: Points of Transformation” is a group exhibit that investigates the elusive nature of transformation through the use of glass, metal, paint, photography, found-objects, and more. Each of the artists in the show has his own unique methodology for creating art, but the one common denominator among them all is an ability to transform ideas into tangible images and objects that embody a process of transformation.

CCIM/CRASD 21st Annual San Diego Charity Golf Classic

This year’s tournament will benefit the Autism Tree Project Foundation. A portion of the proceeds will be dedicated to improving communities in San Diego County by assisting with education, advocacy, screening and mentoring for families impacted by autism. 1 in every 50 school aged children is affected. $200 players fee includes all green fees, lunch, cart, dinner, silent auction, awards ceremony, and great networking opportunities.

Second Annual Startup @State

The Lavin Entrepreneurship Center, the Entrepreneur Society and StartupCircle will host the second annual Start-up @ State event featuring 50 San Diego startups eager to hire students for jobs and internships. Over 35 companies and 300 students attended Startup@State last spring, including StartupCircle, Tower Paddleboards, Stay Classy, PEAR Sports, and MOGL. The speakers event will be held in the Ron Fowler Athletic Center Auditorium from 4:00pm - 5:00pm. Immediately afterward, students will be invited over the Alumni Center next door to interview with local startup companies.
