Visitor Information

Imagine a place of breathtakingly spectacular natural beauty, with a variety of magnificent beaches and an abundance of marine life; a place where the average temperature is a perfect 71 degrees (and rarely exceeds 85); a place that affords to its residents and visitors alike an array of world-class restaurants, shopping and performance arts, along with internationally renowned health care facilities, schools, research institutions, museums, and golf courses; a place that is/was called home by noted actors, authors, astronauts, musicians, playwrights, physicians, scientists and Nobel laureates. It's unimaginable that such a place actually exists. And yet it does. Right here. It's a place called La Jolla.

According to the La Jolla Town Council, there are about 42,000 people that live within the 92037 ZIP code. For planning purposes, says the LJTC, the community consists of approximately 5,718 acres, bounded on the west by seven miles of coastline along the Pacific Ocean; on the north, by the University of California San Diego; on the south, by the community of Pacific Beach; and on the east, by Gilman Drive and Interstate 5. Within La Jolla, communities such as Bird Rock, Cliffridge, La Jolla Shores, La Jolla Village and Mt. Soledad have their own distinctive identities.

So, that's a good problem to have,”

Rinehart said Sur La Table (culinary store), Nativa FurnitureOrange Theory FitnessNosh Delicatessen and two purveyors of women's fashion and accessories, Lo Lo Callisto and Kate Spade, are among the newcomers to the La Jolla retail scene.
