The San Diego Association of Governments is slated to hold two public workshops in the coming weeks regarding a regional public transit and human services transportation plan.
The group issued a press release, urging those who rely on public and private transit to comment on the potential development of a comprehensive plan.
The meetings, which will be held Tuesday, Feb. 27 in San Diego and Wednesday, Feb. 28 in Oceanside, are a response to a federal requirement to prepare a regional plan for transportation.
Discussions will include how to manage transit for senior, disabled and limited-income riders. In a press release, SANDAG officials said it would help them in the procurement of federal grants for transportation services.
The Tuesday meeting is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. in the Gallegos room at 4050 Taylor St. The Wednesday meeting is slated for noon in the lower level of the North County Transit District Offices at 810 Mission Ave in Oceanside.
