Construction Agenda: SD City Council expected to OK agreement

The last week in February will mean more construction activity at municipalities, as some groups have developmnet updates.

Tuesday, the San Diego City Council is expected to enter into an agreement with the Rancho Bernardo Historical Society and provide $10,000 in city funding for the Rancho Bernardo History Museum expansion project.

The council is also expected to enter into an agreement with the Gaslamp Historical Foundation and approve $4,500 in city funds to make improvements to the city-owned William Heath Davis House.

Also Tuesday, the Chula Vista City Council is slated to discuss amending the 2008 land offer agreement between the city and the Otay Land Company to include the construction of up to 6,050 residential units and 1.8 million square feet of nonresidential development.

The Chula Vista City Council is also slated to award Portillio Concrete Inc. a $115,667 contract for sidewalk replacement work for the rest of the current fiscal year.

On Wednesday, the Oceanside City Council is planning to award a $100,000 contract to Rancho Del Oro Landscape and Maintenance Inc. for city landscaping services.

The Coronado Planning Commission meeting scheduled for Tuesday has been canceled.
