The San Diego chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association held elections Thursday morning for its executive officer positions, selecting Tim Dudek of Saturn Electric to be its new president.
The election was originally expected to be held in December, following NECA San Diego's November elections for spots on its board of directors. In that vote, Earl Restine Jr. of Fuller Electric, Brian Hudak of HMT Electric, Pete Spencer of Audio Associates and Dudek were al re-elected into their board seats, while Craig Earley of Morrow Meadows was voted into an open post.
By holding its election of officers on Thursday, NECA San Diego squeezed in the required vote two days before the organization is due to install the 2014 leaders.
Dudek has been president of Saturn Electric since 2005, and a NECA San Diego board member since 2004. The vote also resulted in the election of Bob Davies of Davies Electric as vice president and Tim McBride, who held the presidency for 2013, as Treasurer. Restine, who had just concluded his first year as NECA San Diego' governor, will remain in that position to finish out his allowed two-year term.
The organization's installation of officers is scheduled for Jan. 11 in La Jolla.
