KCM Group, an owner's construction management and consulting firm based in San Diego, has added two seasoned professionals to support continued growth in the company. Joining the firm are Project Engineers Kevin Butts and Jeremy Sjodin.
Butts joins KCM Group having most recently worked as a project engineer for LB Civil Construction, executing his skills in the areas of project management, scheduling, estimating and operations. In addition to his experience as a project engineer, Butts also has a background in marketing and video production, serving as an additional benefit to KCM Group's marketing and communications department.
Originally from Michigan, Butts graduated from Indiana University with a B.A. in business and mass communication and will graduate with a master's in Construction Management from the New School of Architecture + Design in San Diego.
Sjodin has also joined KCM Group as a Project Engineer. He graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a bachelor's degree and master's degree in civil engineering. He has spent his time since graduation in heavy civil construction with Flatiron Construction, where he focused on improving rail infrastructure throughout San Diego County.
“Through our steady growth since establishing KCM Group in 2000, we are always looking for quality professionals who bring valuable skillsets to support the firm's strong commitment to delivering superior service to our new and existing clients,” said KCM Group Principal Gordon Kovtun.
