Civic San Diego announced on Tuesday it will hold a public hearing on permitting construction of three separate multi-story residential projects at its board of directors meeting on Oct. 28 at 1 p.m.
The largest project is a 41-story and a 21-story mixed-use development with 498 residential units, approximately 18,800 square feet of commercial space and 962 parking spaces.
The project, titled Broadway Block, would be constructed on a full city block bounded by C Street, Broadway, and Seventh and Eighth avenues in the East Village.
The project applicant is Broadway Block Owner LLC, a subsidiary of Encinitas-based developer Zephyr partners. According to Zephyr’s website, the project is estimated at $250 million.
The second project is Legacy Gas Lamp LLC’s project 4th & J. This proposed project is a six-story (approximately 85 feet tall) residential development comprised of 170 housing units with 176 parking spaces.
This project site is located on an approximately 30,000-square-foot lot along the south side of J Street between Third and Fourth avenues in downtown San Diego.
The third project is the Alexan Little Italy, a six-story (approximately 70 feet tall) mixed-use development that would include 85 residential units and approximately 4,100 square feet of commercial space with 147 parking spots.
This project is proposed on an approximately 34,000-square-foot lot located at a block bounded by State, Columbia, Hawthorn, and Grape streets. Maple Multi-Family Land CA LP is the applicant.
