NECA contractors to be honored for safety excellence

Related Special Reports

The National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) recently recognized San Diego-Dynalectric, along with several other NECA member electrical contracting companies nationally, for their exemplary safety records.

Dynalectric received both the Zero Injury award and the Safety Excellence award. Winners of the Zero Injury Awards and Safety Excellence Awards will be honored at the NECA Annual Convention, Sept. 29 through Oct. 2 in Las Vegas.

NECA Safety Excellence Award winners are selected based on a comparison of pertinent safety data, provided by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, for similarly sized electrical contracting firms. The Zero Injury Award recognizes electrical contractors who had no recordable incidents including recordable cases, lost workdays, non-fatal cases without lost workdays and/or fatalities throughout an entire year. This year, all NECA safety award recipients have lost-work incident rates and total recordable accident rates well below the industry average.

NECA contractors have one of the highest safety records in the industry due to the integrated management of safety and health systems, which sets the contactor apart from their competitors.
