Shea Homes' residential development Civita, already the recipient of numerous awards, continues to be an attention-getter, as Shea emerged with five gold medal awards for the development earlier this week at The Nationals 2013 awards, a competition for sales and marketing professionals and communities.
Shea's Origen at Civita, located in Mission Valley, took honors for Neighborhood of the Year, Best Sales Center, Best Interior Merchandising of models both under and more than 1,500 square feet and Best Architectural Design of an Attached Home Plan.
The awards ceremony was sponsored by the National Sales and Marketing Council.
"Origen represents a huge leap outside our comfort zone," said Vanessa Linn, vice president of sales and marketing for Shea Homes San Diego, in a release. "This was our first foray into vertical architecture and urban infill, and we challenged our team of design professionals to create something absolutely original in the marketplace."
Origen opened in December 2011 as the first new residential community within Civita, which has a plan calling for 4,780 residential homes and apartments, approximately 480,000 square feet for a lifestyle retail center and 420,000 square feet for a business campus over the next decade or so.
