A new medical office building developed and owned by Family Health Centers of San Diego has been completed in the Chollas View neighborhood of San Diego.
Targeted to serve uninsured, low income and medically underserved people in the southeastern San Diego community, the facility -- Diamond Neighborhoods Family Health Center -- was opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Aug. 9. Built by general contractor Suffolk Construction, the 23,000-square-foot project's cost was $13 million.
The facility provides medical, mental health, dental and supportive services. It's also home to the central San Diego Black Infant Health Program.
The facility is located at 4725 Market St.
Construction management of the project was provided by Hughes Marino. Davy Architecture served as the architect, while SWS Engineering Inc., HTK Structural Engineers, T-Squared Professional Engineers Inc. and Marum Partnership all served as consultants.
