Defense contractor General Atomics will add 25 jobs over the next three years as it expands its plant near Tupelo.
The San Diego-based firm said Wednesday that it would invest $12 million, building a 140,000 square-foot building.
The plant makes an electromagnetic system used to launch planes from Navy aircraft carriers. General Atomics said it hoped to make products for both the commercial and government markets at the enlarged facility.
The plant opened in 2005 and has expanded several times since.
General Atomics received state and local incentives as part of the expansion. A spokeswoman for Tupelo's Community Development Foundation referred comment on incentives to the Mississippi Development Authority. An MDA spokeswoman was not available.
