Formerly the company’s executive vice president and chief financial officer, Boyle had been serving as interim president and CEO since the passing of the company's founder and former CEO, Walter J. Zable, in June 2012. Boyle, 78, joined Cubic as CFO in 1983 and has served on the board of directors since 1995.
The board of directors also appointed Bradley H. Feldmann, 51, to the newly created position of president and chief operating officer, promoted John D. Thomas to the position of executive vice president and CFO, and appointed Stephen O. Shewmaker to the corporate executive vice presidency. Shewmaker will continue to serve in his present role as president of the company's transportation systems segment.
Cubic is a San Diego-based parent company of three business segments, including Cubic Defense Systems, Cubic Mission Support Services and Cubic Transportation Systems.
