Bachelor/bachelorette auction to raise funds for Veterans Research Corp.

Veterans Research Corp. is recruiting local veterans, active-duty military, firefighters, and policemen and women for the A Few Good Men & Women Bachelor/Bachelorette Auction to help raise money for medical research benefiting veterans.

The A Few Good Men & Women Bachelor/Bachelorette Auction begins at 6 p.m. on Tuesday at the Pacific Beach Shore Club. Local restaurants, pubs and event venues are donating date packages for the bachelors and bachelorettes and their dates, with proceeds from auction bids and raffle tickets donated to Veterans Research Corp, according to a release.

Veterans Research Corp. provides funding to local medical research that addresses the health concerns of veterans -- including post-traumatic stress disorder, Gulf War Syndrome and traumatic brain injury.

To apply to be a bachelor or bachelorette at the auction, or for more information about the auction and Veterans Research Corp., email veteransresearchcorp@gmail.com.
