California Western official to testify before U.S. Copyright Office

The U.S. Copyright Office has invited the executive director of California Western School of Law's New Media Rights program to participate in hearings this week on the proposal to create a small claims system for copyright disputes.

At the hearing in Los Angeles, Art Neill will discuss how such a system may affect the internet users and independent creators assisted by New Media Rights, as well as potential remedies and appeals, constitutional issues, and benchmarks for success.
