U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will be in San Diego next month for a pair of events at Thomas Jefferson School of Law.
She first will speak at the law school's formal dedication ceremony Thursday, Feb. 7, at 5 p.m. at Balboa Theater. Supreme Court justices from China and Brazil also will appear, along with a former Supreme Court justice from France.
The event will be followed by a reception and open house at the law school, starting at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend, but registration is required by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Ginsburg also will lead a question & answer session Friday, Feb. 8, at TJSL's 13th annual Women and the Law Conference. Indiana University Maurer School of Law professor Susan Williams, director of the school's Center for Constitutional Democracy, will give the keynote address.
The conference, titled "Her Honor: Women in the Judiciary," is sold out.
