USD's new Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering officially inaugurated

University of San Diego’s new Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering was inaugurated Thursday in a ceremony at the Joan B. Kroc School for Peace and Justice Studies, where students and faculty thanked USD trustee Darlene Marcos Shiley for the $20 million donation that made the school possible.

Innovation space, new labs open at USD engineering school

The opening of the Cymer Ideation Space and Donald's Garage on April 10 signaled the completion of the Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering's first phase of growth. The school plans to increase its undergraduate enrollment, add a master's program and continue to expand its physical footprint in the coming years.
