Wells Fargo volunteers help build home for Imperial Beach family

A local family in need will soon have a new place to call home, thanks to funds and volunteer hours contributed by several community organizations.

Wells Fargo Imperial Beach and South Bay team members volunteered with the American Bankers Association Housing Partners Foundation and San Diego Habitat for Humanity to build an Imperial Beach home for the Urzua family, according to a release. The home will be given to David and Delia Urzua, their two sons, and David Urzua's parents, who will be able to move into the home this spring.

In addition to the 20 Wells Fargo volunteers who spent the day cleaning and painting, the company also donated $10,000 to help fund the housing project. This is the 12th Habitat for Humanity Home built by the ABA Housing Partners Foundation, and the second home the foundation has built in the San Diego area.
