Navy Federal Credit Union has opened a new branch at Naval Base Point Loma.
The branch will serve almost 60,000 in the Point Loma area at the 3,135-square-foot facility located at 200 Catalina Blvd. The branch is also equipped with an image-enabled ATM.
Dignitaries from the naval base attended the grand opening ceremony on Monday, where Navy Federal made a $1,000 donation to the local charity Wounded Warrior Homes. Robert Caudill, the first warrior served by Wounded Warrior Homes, attended the grand opening with his service dog to accept the donation on behalf of the charity.
Navy Federal also has plans to open two more branches in San Diego County later this year: one in Clairemont Town Square and another in Encinitas. These new branches would bring the total in San Diego County to 21.
