Democrat Scott Peters padded his advantage over Brian Bilbray by 520 votes and now leads the incumbent Republican Congressman by 1,334 votes after the latest results were released Friday.
Peters, a San Diego Port commissioner, has collected 110,825 votes (50.3 percent) while Bilbray has 109,491 (49.7) in the race for California's 52nd Congressional District.
Approximately 325,000 provisional and absentee ballots countywide remain to be counted. The San Diego County Registrar of Voters is expected to release its next update at 5 p.m. Monday.
