Related Special Reports

Scott Peters added more to his lead Wednesday in the race for the 52nd Congressional District seat against incumbent Brian Bilbray, after another round of absentee ballot counts from the San Diego County Registrar of Voters. The same goes for Dave Roberts and his lead in his contest against Steve Danon for the District 3 Board of Supervisors slot.

The latest numbers show Peters' lead over Bilbray to be 2,948 votes, up from his lead of 2,660 votes Tuesday.

In the District 3 supervisors race, Roberts, the deputy mayor of Solana Beach, holds a lead over Danon, the former chief of staff to Bilbray, of 2,796 votes, up from his lead of 2,688 votes Tuesday.

After Election Day, the registrar announced that 475,000 absentee and provisional ballots countywide would be counted in the coming days and added to vote tallies. Following Wednesday's update, only 160,000 remain.
