Board to vote on environmental grant

The construction scene is still slow going into the last week of January, as municipalities don’t have much on their agendas.

The county Board of Supervisors on Wednesday is scheduled to adopt a resolution approving the application for and acceptance of grant funds from an environmental enhancement and mitigation program for the Barnett Ranch Preservation Enhancement Project.

The board is also scheduled to approve a resolution that would amend the 2012 County TransNet Local Street Improvement Program of projects.

In Oceanside on Wednesday, the City Council is expected to approve a five-year professional service agreement for $62,000 with Los Angeles-based BLX Group LLC for arbitrage consulting and compliance services for city bond issues.

Also Wednesday, the Carlsbad Planning Commission is slated to hear four items, including one request for a four-year retroactive extension of a Site Development Plan. If approved, the plan would allow construction of a 50,000-square-foot, two-story multitenant office building on a 25.28-acre site located adjacent to Palomar Airport Road, between Hidden Valley Road and Aviara Parkway.
