Zane steps down as president of Lincoln Club

Clumpner to take helm on April 1

T.J. Zane, president and CEO of the Lincoln Club of San Diego County, announced that he will be leaving the club effective July 1 to lead two nonprofits that he helped establish: the San Diego County Prosperity Institute and the San Diego County Prosperity Foundation.

In a written statement Zane said Ryan Clumpner will assume day-to-day operations and management of the Lincoln Club of San Diego County as its executive director, starting April 1. Clumpner was contracted by the group to design the content and manage the direct mail component of the club’s overall voter outreach efforts in the recent mayoral primary and general elections. Clumpner is currently chief of staff to California Assemblywoman Marie Waldron.

The San Diego County Prosperity Institute will be committed to supporting the San Diego community through the promotion of reforms relating to local government financial accountability and regional economic prosperity. The goal of the Institute will be to help keep the public informed on public policy matters affecting all areas of San Diego County.

“It has been an honor and a privilege to function as the club's chief executive for so many years,” Zane said in the statement. “I am grateful for the unwavering support I have received during my time with the club and I look forward to serving you in a new capacity well into the future.”
