Balboa Park Celebration Inc. documents posted on new website

More than 5,000 documents created by and for Balboa Park Celebration Inc. can be found at BPCIdocuments.com. They include the organization’s financial records, organizational documents, contracts and invoices, as well as planning, marketing and sponsorship documents.

The documents cover the three-year span of BPCI’s existence and the website also includes prior planning documents and other items found in BPCI files.

BPCI created the freestanding website in anticipation of the execution of a termination agreement between BPCI and the city of San Diego.

The termination agreement requires that the BPCI website “not be identified with the ongoing activities of the city with respect to the 2015 Centennial Celebration.” BPCI’s previous website was under the BalboaPark.org domain, the premier source for information about Balboa Park institutions and events.

The termination agreement, which goes to the City Council for approval on May 13, will formally terminate BPCI’s contractual obligations to plan and organize the 2015 Centennial Celebration in Balboa Park. Under that agreement, BPCI will transfer its complete records and work product to the city of San Diego, where they will become public record.
