Polinsky Children’s Center to receive $15k donation

Ernie Dronenburg, assessor/recorder/county clerk, will present a $15,000 donation to the children of the Polinsky Childrenís Center on May 30.

The presentation of the check will be made at 2 p.m. at the Polinsky Childrenís Center at 9400 Ruffin Court, San Diego.

“This donation is funded by the sales of framed photographs taken by my staff during civil ceremonies performed in our offices,” Dronenburg said.

The money raised will benefit the children by allowing them to attend activities in the community, including field trips to athletic events, visits to amusement parks, movies, restaurants, camping and beach trips.

The Polinsky Childrenís Center offers Emergency Shelter Care for children, ranging in age from newborns up to the age of 18. The center serves an average of 60 – 90 children per day. Approximately 2,500 – 3,000 children are admitted to the center each year.
