EcoBlu opens exchange for green building products

EcoBlu Products Inc. (OTCBB: ECOB) held a grand opening Monday for its new EcoGreen Exchange for green building products and corporate headquarters.

Located in Vista, the EcoGreen Exchange is a marketplace in which homeowners, builders, contractors, architects and government entities can shop around for the best green building materials for their project.

The new facility includes a technical support center, coating equipment fabrication center, research and development lab, and corporate offices. Vendors will also have access to meeting rooms for seminars or training events.

The grand opening took place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and was attended by television personality Lisa Ling, who used EcoBlu wood products in her new energy neutral home in Santa Monica. The wood product’s eco-friendly coating makes it resistant to mold, fungus, rot, termites and fire.

“We have really seen a shift in homeowner's interest in building green, and our new EcoGreen Exchange will make environmentally friendly products more accessible than ever,” said Steve Conboy, EcoBlu president and CEO in a statement. “It will be like having a trade show every day for the vendors we recruit to be in our facility.”

EcoGreen Exchange is located at 909 W. Vista Way in Vista.
