Envision Solar appoints Jack Schneider to board of directors

San Diego-based Envision Solar International Inc. has hired former Allen & Co. LLC Managing Director Jack Schneider to be the newest member on its board of directors.

Schneider, who spent more than 34 years as managing director at Allen & Co., has been on the advisory board of Loton Corp. since October 2013 and the boards of Mandalay Digital Group Inc., NeuMedia Inc. and IntelliCell BioSciences Inc. since 2011. He has also served as a director at Stratus Media Group Inc.

The Allen & Company Sun Valley Conference, an annual gathering of international business leaders, is regarded as being pioneered by Schneider.

Desmond Wheatley, president and CEO of Envision, said Schneider's long-term relationships with other leaders in the media and entertainment community "will open doors to new opportunities for Envision and our products in the brand-new and rapidly growing sustainable media distribution and advertising sectors."
