Athena San Diego seeks nominations for 2013 Pinnacle Awards

Athena San Diego is calling for nominations of women, men and companies/organizations for its Pinnacle Awards.

Nominees should support the Athena vision of fostering personal and professional change through inclusion, risk taking, education, recognition and diversity of thought, thereby enhancing competitiveness and opportunity for women in the San Diego business community.

An Educator Pinnacle Award will be given to an educator who has demonstrated leadership in developing the next generation of women for a career in math or science.

Athena’s Pinnacle Awards is celebrating its 15th year and is sponsored by Bank of America/Merrill Lynch, Active Network, Barney & Barney LLC, CBIZ and Morrison Foerster, among others.

Awards will be presented in the following categories to those who have had a significant impact on the San Diego community through the development and promotion of skilled and talented women: Individual in Technology; Individual in Bioscience; Individual in Services; Individual in Education; Company/Organization.

The Pinnacle Awards Gala will be on April 24 at the Grand Hyatt and will be attended by more than 600 leaders in the technology, life sciences, defense, health care and services sectors.

Nominations are to be made online only at www.athenasd.org no later than Feb. 22.
