Cooking Light & Health's The Fit Foodie 5K Race Weekend, presented by San Diego County Lexus Dealers, returns to the Embarcadero Marina Park South for its third year on Nov. 6-8.
The race weekend features tastings, cooking and fitness demonstrations, and a Tracy Anderson Method course followed by a Sunday inspired brunch.
The weekend kicks off Friday evening at the pre-race VIP Party with special giveaways and opportunities to mix and mingle with editors of Cooking Light and Health magazines.
On Saturday a group stretch and dance party warm-up will occur before a scenic 5K race along the San Diego Bay.
After the race there will be the Fit Foodie Finisher's Village Celebration. Runners will be greeted with unlimited food and beverage samples, as well as fitness and culinary demonstrations from acclaimed professionals.
During the celebration, Cooking Light Executive Chef Anna Bullett will take the culinary stage to provide a cooking demonstration.
Participants will also be able to test-drive some of the newest Lexus automobiles in the Lexus Ride and Drive experience.
The Fit Foodie weekend concludes on Sunday with a Sunday Sweat Session and Brunch presented by Fabletics.
Cooking Light & Health's The Fit Foodie 5K Race Weekend benefits the American Diabetes Association. Five percent of all race entries and T-shirt sales for the first 2,000 runners and 10 percent thereafter benefit the American Diabetes Association.
