Dow joins Connect's executive committee

San Diego attorney Karen Dow has been elected to serve on Connect's executive committee.

Dow is a partner with the intellectual property law firm Sughrue Mion PLLC. Her practice focuses on all phases of life science patent matters and counseling, including intellectual property transactions.

She has more than 20 years of patent experience in biotechnology and pharmaceutical issues, including work as patent counsel for Eli Lilly and Co. (NYSE: LLY) and Triton Biosciences.

Dow graduated cum laude with a bachelor's of science degree in chemistry and a minor in biology from Bowling Green State University. In addition, she received her J.D. degree, cum laude, from Indiana University School of Law.

In addition to being an active participant in the legal and business communities, she is a member of the Policy Committee for Connect and has served on the Connect board of directors since the fall of 2010.
