City of SD honors Higgs' 75th anniversary

San Diego City Council officially declared Feb. 20 as "Higgs Fletcher and Mack Day" in honor of the San Diego law firm's 75th anniversary and its service to the community.

“This is for what all of you do and I am deeply, deeply grateful,” San Diego Interim Mayor Todd Gloria said in his final remarks to the firm before passing the official proclamation to managing partner John Morrell.

Morrell accepted on behalf of Higgs Fletcher & Mack LLP's more than 140 employees.

The firm will continue to celebrate its 75th anniversary with its “7,500 Hour Volunteer Challenge,” in which the firm will donate 7,500 hours of community service along with monetary contributions to select nonprofits throughout the year.
