San Diego Superior Court and One Legal, the court’s e-file service provider, are offering free sessions to discuss the legal and procedural requirements for e-filing in San Diego Superior Court.
The sessions, which are free and open to attorneys and support staff, are being held as court officials begin to deploy e-filing on construction defect cases in the court's central location.
The first session, "Preview Training E-Filing & eService Construction Defect," will be held May 12 from noon-1:30 p.m. at downtown San Diego's Hall of Justice.
The law firm Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch will host two sessions on June 3 from 10-11:30 a.m. and from noon-1:30 p.m.
The final four sessions will be held at the Hall of Justice. Two on June 4 and two on June 5. Each day will feature sessions from 10-11:30 a.m. and noon-1:30 p.m.
Attendees at every session will receive one CLE credit.
The sessions will cover the legal requirements for e-filing as well as a “how-to” demonstration for those wishing to access e-filing in the San Diego Superior Court.
Effective June 2, mandatory electronic filing through the court e-file service provider One Legal will be required for all construction defect cases, including those currently being filed through File&Serve Xpress (formerly known as LexisNexis File&Serve). As of 5:01 p.m. on May 30, no documents will be allowed to be filed through File&Serve Xpress.
