Seven San Diego legal organizations are teaming up to hold the annual fashion show fundraiser Couture for a Cause to benefit the children's charities Voices for Children and STAR/PAL.
The event will be held Wednesday, Sept. 24, from 6-9 p.m. at the San Diego Hall of Champions.
It is being hosted by the San Diego chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators; the Lawyers Club of San Diego; the Mother Attorney Mentoring Association of San Diego; the San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association; the San Diego Legal Secretaries Association; the San Diego Paralegal Association; and the South Asian Bar Association of San Diego.
Casey Gerry Schenk Francavilla Blatt & Penfield attorney Patricia Zlaket will be the emcee.
The models will include retired judges Steven Denton, Susan Finlay and Irma Gonzalez, along with San Diego attorneys Nadia Bermudez of Garcia Hernandez Sawhney & Bermudez; Marc Carlos of Bardsley & Carlos; Amy Wintersheimer Findley of Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis; Omar Passons of Stutz Artiano Shinoff and Holtz; Victor Pippins Jr. of Higgs Fletcher & Mack; and Todd Stevens of Keeney Waite & Stevens.
Complimentary hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar and a silent auction are part of the pre-fashion show festivities.

Voices for Children works to ensure that abused, neglected and abandoned children, who have become dependents of the San Diego County Court, will have a safe and permanent home. STAR/PAL empowers underserved youth to build a safer and more prosperous community by engaging with law enforcement and collaborative partners.
