This section honors San Diego County's outstanding Legal Secretaries of 2009, who were chosen by an independent panel based on Team Player Attitude, Substantive Knowledge, Technical & Computer Savvy, Public Relations & Personality, and Professionalism.
Cristina Conroy is a legal secretary in the San Diego office of Troutman Sanders LLP to three attorneys practicing in anti-trust, business litigation, complex litigation and intellectual property. One of her many duties is finalizing and executing filings on complex cases in varied areas of law, including but not limited to trademark litigation, complex litigation and business litigation.
Conroy is 2008-2009 vice-president and program chair of the San Diego Legal Secretaries Association, where she has coordinated Lunch and Learn meetings, Day In Court and monthly speakers (judges, clerks, attorneys from various courts in the state of California) for membership meetings. She sits on a panel for various courts to test new programs before administered to public; attends various conferences and reports knowledge obtained with the Litigation Group at Troutman Sanders; and serves on the Test Pilot Group for Troutman Sanders LLP.
From 2006 to 2008 Conroy served as director, editor and advertising chair for the San Diego Legal Secretaries Association. She also formerly served a two-year term as editor of LegalLines, a monthly catalogue distributed to approximately 225 secretaries in the San Diego legal community.
Previously, Conroy was lead litigation secretary to the principal owner and practice group leader, local partner, senior of counsel, associates and management at Baker & McKenzie LLP.
