Nikki Wyll is senior counsel, litigation for DJO Global, an international and premier orthopedic device and rehabilitation company with more than 5,000 employees, serving as San Diego’s largest private employer. Wyll is responsible for all of DJO Global’s litigation, including products liability, commercial, employment and intellectual property matters. She provides strategic litigation insight to executive management of DJO Global to identify and mitigate risks facing the business lines, and to capitalize on new opportunities. Additionally, Wyll manages over 30 different outside counsel law firms in the United States and abroad, to ensure high-quality and cost-effective representation.
Prior to joining DJO, Wyll worked at CareFusion Corporation as assistant general counsel of litigation, and was an associate in the IP litigation department at DLA Piper U.S., LLP.
Wyll serves as a board member for Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego, a nonprofit organization focused on bringing meaningful one-on-one mentoring relationships to San Diego’s youth. Wyll is proud to assist the organization in meeting its goal of developing positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.
Wyll earned her law degree from the University of Chicago and her undergraduate degree from Boston University.
A Dallas native, Wyll and her husband Adam (also a lawyer) moved to San Diego in 2004. They currently live in Encinitas with their three-and-a-half year old son, Tobin, three-month-old baby girl, Lyla, and two very attention-starved dogs.
