Keven K. Lippert is vice president, general counsel and secretary of ViaSat Inc. Lippert manages the company's legal department, providing wide-ranging legal support to its business operations, including corporate, employment, government and commercial contracts, real estate, intellectual property, international, legal compliance, litigation, mergers and acquisitions, financings, and securities law.
Prior to moving into his new role in April, 2007 he was associate general counsel and assistant secretary since joining ViaSat in 2000.
Lippert has also played a key role in leading the legal team for the company's acquisitions. Beginning in 2000, he has been instrumental in due diligence, negotiations, and structuring of acquisition agreements for ViaSat subsidiaries US Monolithics, Efficient Channel Coding, Enerdyne, Intelligent Compression Technologies, and JAST Antenna Systems.
Prior to joining ViaSat, Lippert was a corporate associate at the law firm of Latham & Watkins LLP from 1997 to 2000.
Lippert holds a J.D. degree from the University of Michigan and a B.S. degree in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley.
