Christina Vail Zilberman

Science Applications International Corp.

Christina Vail Zilberman is vice president and assistant general counsel with Science Applications International Corporation. She has been with SAIC since 2004, advising senior management on corporate law, securities compliance and disclosure, and mergers and acquisitions. Zilberman serves as secretary to the finance committee of the board of directors.  She is responsible for the legal aspects of SAIC’s periodic reports and other filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission. She is also responsible for a full range of activities in connection with acquisitions and dispositions of companies and assets by SAIC, including deal structuring, negotiation and integration activities. She has been the lead lawyer in completing numerous acquisitions of companies that have enhanced SAIC’s capabilities and offerings to customers, as well as several joint venture transactions and divestitures. Zilberman also serves as secretary to the SAIC Relief Foundation, a charitable organization which provides assistance to SAIC employees who are victims of natural disasters, including wildfires, earthquakes and hurricanes around the United States.

Prior to joining SAIC, Zilberman was a shareholder at Heller Ehrman LLP in San Diego. She represented publicly traded and private companies in merger and acquisition transactions, private financings and public offerings, as well as ongoing corporate and securities compliance issues. Zilberman gained experience with joint ventures, licensing, strategic alliances and commercialization and distribution agreements for companies in various industries, including software, networking, telecommunications, semiconductor and life sciences.

Before law school, Zilberman taught English in a high school and refugee camp in Thailand and traveled extensively throughout Southeast Asia. She met her husband, Lonny Zilberman, a partner at Wilson Turner Kosmo, in law school and is the proud mother of an 11-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, swimming, cooking, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

Zilberman is a member of the American Bar Association and the San Diego County Bar. She served on the voard of UCSD Athena (now Athena San Diego) from 2003-2005 and was the co-chair of the Pinnacle Awards from 2003-2005.

She has received the YWCA’s Tribute to Women and Industry (TWIN) Award (2008); was a previous “Power of Attorneys” finalist for The Daily Transcript, (2008); and was awarded the Wiley W. Manuel Pro Bono Legal Services Award (2005).

Zilberman received her B.A. in history and political science from Northwestern University in 1991, and her J.D., summa cum laude, from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1996.
