This section recognizes San Diego County's outstanding Legal Management professionals of 2009, who were chosen based on the following criteria: Leadership, Communication, Operations Management, Financial Business Management and Human Resource Management.
Diana Mueller has been with Hecht Solberg for more than 30 years, and its administrator for almost as long. She is responsible for the full range of administrative responsibilities, including personnel, financial, facilities and operation management. She works closely with the partners on strategic planning, attorney recruitment, risk management and business development. Mueller helps guide the firm and, along with her administrative staff, minds all the business aspects of the firm so that the attorneys and staff with the expertise and talent to serve the needs of clients may focus on the legal work.
Mueller is privileged to work with extremely gifted people at all levels who share core values and a vision of the firm that focuses on exceptional client service, high quality legal work, effective solutions, communication, mutual respect, collaboration and personal integrity. She is particularly grateful for the effective working and mentor relationship she enjoys with Managing Partner Darryl Solberg, and the relationships of trust, open communication and mutual regard that have developed over the years of working with all the partners of the firm.
She earned a bachelor's and master's in English and Medieval Comparative Literature from San Diego State University. She is a longtime member of the San Diego and international Association of Legal Administrators, a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and served as a school board member of University of San Diego High School for seven years.
