Lisa S. Easterly

Latham & Watkins LLP

Lisa Easterly is the business development manager at the downtown San Diego office of Latham & Watkins LLP. She develops and manages strategic growth initiatives for more than 140 attorneys in two offices, practicing in the areas of corporate law, tax, finance, litigation and environment, land and resources. In her role as business development manager, Easterly provides leadership and guidance on client relations, community and industry associations, prospecting and proposals, media outreach and market intelligence as well as budgetary measures and ROI metrics. She works not only with the local team, but helps coordinate global initiatives that affect Latham’s 28 offices around the globe. For example, she helped pilot the firm’s Cleantech practice development to service the alternative energy, materials, transportation, air, water, recycling and waste industries. She is also the inaugural chair of the San Diego SMART (Sustainable Measures and Recycling Tactics) Committee to reduce consumption of natural resources, energy and waste generation in the office.

Easterly’s passion for cleantech and the green economy extends to the San Diego community. As a founding member of CleanTECH San Diego, Easterly developed the initial communications and marketing strategy for the organization. She is the secretary for the 501(c)(3) organization and a member of the Education and Outreach Board Committee. She is also committed to furthering the legal marketing profession, establishing and leading quarterly roundtables to highlight best practices with over 30 local directors and managers.

Prior to joining Latham & Watkins in 2004, Easterly marketed the new San Diego office of Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker LLP and its firmwide litigation and employment practices. She worked with a team of personal wealth managers at Smith Barney prior to joining the legal community.

Lisa earned her MBA, cum laude, and bachelor’s in finance and economics, cum laude, from the University of Florida.
