Major Cases
I am primarily a patent litigator and trial attorney, representing both patentees and accused infringers throughout the country in a variety of technologies, including computer software and hardware, electronics, media, medical devices, automotive systems and biotechnology. I have represented some of the largest companies in the world, but also have represented several small startups and medium-sized companies. Major victories include successfully defending a software company in the second largest patent infringement case in history, and two cases where I obtained jury verdicts of infringement, validity, willful infringement and damages (and subsequently obtained attorneys’ fees and permanent injunctions). I also recently obtained summary judgment of patent noninfringement for a cosmetic company. I have also litigated several trademark, trade dress, trade secret and copyright cases in California.
