Major Cases
Over the past 10+ years, I have worked with clients, large and small, helping to protect their intellectual property through obtaining, licensing and enforcing patents. I have represented clients in a variety of industries, including telecommunications, software, medical devices, electrical and mechanical technologies.
Professional Background
Before becoming a lawyer, I was an aerospace engineer for eight years. While attending law school at Georgetown University Law Center, I interned for Judge Randall Rader at the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. I began working at a law firm while attending law school.
In addition to law-firm experience, I have also held an in-house position as vice president of intellectual property for Kintera Inc., a publicly traded software company, now a subsidiary of Blackbaud.
Professional Affiliations
I am a member of the California Bar and the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA). Additionally, I am an Executive Committee member and a charter member of the San Diego chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), a group focused on fostering entrepreneurship.
Personal Background
I am a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan, as everyone should be!
