Major Cases
Within the past few months, I arbitrated a matter in San Francisco on behalf of the Four Seasons Residence Club Owners' Association; national retailers in defense of consumer class actions; a company in a class action alleging misclassification of independent contractors; and I have handled several high-profile writ of mandamus actions (involving environmental challenges) on behalf of an affiliate of NRG Energy Co., the Hotel del Coronado and a development entity known as Lane Field San Diego Developers. (One of my strong specialties is disputes affecting the hospitality industry.)
Professional Background
I specialize in trial, arbitration and ADR of complex corporate, business and real estate litigation matters. After my early years of big law firm life, I started a trial boutique firm with some other partners. Sixteen years after that, in 2006, I accepted an offer to join Sheppard Mullin. I am the managing partner of Sheppard Mullin's San Diego office.
Professional Affiliations
I am the former chair of the California Litigation Section of the state bar. I was formerly on the Board of ABTL, an organization in which I'm still active. I am a master in the Welsh Inn of Court. I am a member expert of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants, which is an affiliation of experts in the hospitality industry.
Personal Background
I am lucky enough to be married to my best friend, Henriette Rosenberg Dunwoody. I have twin boys who are juniors and water polo players at La Jolla High School. In addition to my family, I stay balanced through yoga, cooking, gardening and reading.
