After graduating law school, Mr. Schweitzer was involved with startup operations in the San Diego office of Merrill Lynch Trust Company of California as a trust representative. He was then promoted to the New York City office of Merrill Lynch Trust Company located in the World Financial Center where he worked as a regional trust representative and business development officer. Later, Mr. Schweitzer was recruited by Northern Trust Bank and accepted a position as its vice president and business development officer in the corporate office located at Los Angeles, California. In 1999, Mr. Schweitzer acted upon a lifelong desire to serve his country and joined the United States Marine Corps wherein he was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in December of that same year. As a Captain, he served as judge advocate and officer in charge of the legal team with Combat Service Support Company 134, deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Captain Schweitzer remained on active duty until the end of 2004 and accepted a commission in the reserves. Now a Major, he is still actively serving in the Marine Corps reserves. He is currently a partner with Stassinopoulos & Schweitzer, APLC and practices exclusively in the areas of family law and security clearance defense.

Schweitzer was born and raised in San Diego. He is married with one child and resides in Bird Rock. He enjoys snow and water skiing, surfing, running, biking, swimming, and traveling.
