Over his career, White has developed an expertise in transactional matters primarily in real estate, general business and entertainment law. He began his legal career defending commercial real estate developers in construction defect disputes. Seeking to shift his focus to the transactional side of the law, White transferred to the real estate transactions department of Luce Forward Hamilton & Scripps. While at Luce Forward, White represented a wide variety of clients in the acquisition, financing, development, construction, leasing and disposition of major office, industrial, hotel, aviation and retail properties. White was then recruited to join Biomed Realty Trust, Inc., a publicly-traded real estate investment trust based in San Diego. At Biomed, White served as lead counsel on extensive leasing and acquisition transactions and advised the company on legal issues related to owning and operating life science real estate. In addition to real estate work, White assists emerging businesses on the formation and operation of their business entities. He also practices entertainment law; counseling his clients in the areas of television, music, and other media.
Prior to his legal career, White worked in the professional sports industry for the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Association of Volleyball Professionals. In addition, he has founded a clothing company and a computer accessory company. He lives in Del Mar with his wife, Sarah.
