Business litigation and select marital dissolution proceedings
In business litigation, among other cases, I have: represented real property owners and investors in various disputes, including in a case in which I obtained judicial foreclosure and a $15 million deficiency judgment through a month-long bench trial; represented a charter airline and obtained a defense verdict in a bench trial; represented an institutional asset management firm in a case involving trade secrets and wage and hour claims in connection with the departure of portfolio managers who started a competing business; represented a public entity with deposits of more than $1 billion in the Orange County Investment Pool in a law suit against a prominent Wall Street investment bank; represented Native American corporate directors of a California corporation for whom I obtained dismissal of an action based upon sovereign immunity; and represented insurance companies in the defense of various bad faith cases, including a case tried in a five-week jury trial in Nevada. In family law matters, I have represented clients in cases requiring multiple phases of trial involving the valuation of multi-million dollar businesses, complex tracing and property characterization issues, post-judgment fiduciary duty claims and support hearings.
I have limited my practice to business litigation and select marital dissolution proceedings.
