Professional Background
Lori Bolander is the owner and principal attorney of Bolander Law Group, which focuses almost exclusively in trusts and estates law. Lori has been working in trusts and estates for more than 11 years, although only being admitted to the bar in 2005. Just months after starting her own practice in 2006, Lori successfully undertook a bench trial on the removal and surcharge of a trustee, which resulted in a published case. Continually striving to accomplish her ever expanding personal and professional goals, Lori represents numerous clients in trusts, estates litigation and administration matters, including several professional fiduciaries and also serves on the Probate Court’s Court-Appointed Attorney list. Lori also assists clients in planning their estates and views her litigation and administration practice as an asset to facilitate well-planned estates for her clients to minimize court-involvement and prevent litigation. Having been adopted into a loving family, Lori also practices adoption law. She takes pleasure in helping create families and, in cases of step-parent adoptions, solidify and legalize already existing loving bonds. An avid networker, Lori has built a successful business out of her law practice, adhering to the principle she is a business owner and her business is the practice of law. Lori focuses her networking efforts on giving, by putting others’ interests first and continually adding value to the relationship, including connecting professional alliances to one another. Known as a connector by many, Lori has found that this paradigm ultimately leads to unexpected returns for her business and her relationships. Lori was nominated for the The Daily Transcript’s “Young Attorney” award in 2009 and 2010 and this is her first nomination as a “Top Attorney.”
Personal Background
Lori lives in East County with her boyfriend and they have dubbed their home the “Urban Farm” that is home to a large garden and various animals. In the little spare time she has, Lori enjoys gardening, fishing, cooking, camping, playing the piano and volunteering in her community. Lori would like to express her heartfelt appreciation for the nominations and votes of her colleagues and feels extremely honored to be amongst the company she is in as a finalist. A sincere thank you is also extended to The Daily Transcript for organizing this event and hosting the dinner.
