Major Cases
I have worked with dozens of Southern California’s most exciting technology companies, from startup and emerging companies to large-cap public companies. Pillsbury provides a brilliant platform with immense resources to help technology-oriented growth companies achieve their goals -- from formation to financings to technology acquisitions/dispositions to product development and commercialization to value realization events or “exit strategies.”
Professional Background
I live two professional lives. As a corporate attorney, I work primarily with businesses that are technology-oriented and very aggressive in their growth or development objectives. I also live a second life as a participant in the startup community, which means that I read a lot of business plans, share a lot of cups of coffee with budding entrepreneurs, kiss a lot of frogs and make a lot of introductions. San Diego does a lot of things very well -- but the way this community embraces and incubates entrepreneurs and startup companies is one of the things we do the best.
Professional Affiliations
I am heavily involved in the entrepreneurial community of San Diego and have been an adviser to numerous startup entrepreneurs. I am on the board of directors and executive committee of CONNECT and have been involved with the San Diego Venture Group for over 20 years, including as a board member, president and chairman.
Personal Background
My wife and I live in Encinitas with our soon-to-be high school senior daughter. We enjoy occasional visits from our off-at-college son. I am a fourth-generation San Diegan and I simply can’t believe my good fortune to live here.
