Moore has served as the president for Fresh Start Surgical Gifts for the past two years and is working to take the program nationwide. In addition to helping disadvantaged children get much needed surgeries he also helps children get the basic necessities of life through the Junior Seau Foundation. He serves on the advisory board of the American Bar Association.

Outside of the office, Moore enjoys his time with his two adult children. The homegrown San Diegan spends time surfing, snow skiing, wakeboarding, dirt bike riding, and other outdoor activities.
