Major Cases
I firmly believe that every family law matter is a major case, as the issues impact people’s families and lives. I have handled cases with a multitude of difficult issues, including child abuse, domestic violence, breaches of fiduciary duties, hidden assets and hidden incomes, business valuations, separate property tracing and value of real estate.
Professional Background
Over the past 17 years, I have practiced law in both Pennsylvania and California. For the last 10 years, I have been here in San Diego, working exclusively as a family law attorney. I was also licensed in Texas (inactive). I am a Certified Family Law Specialist, certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization.
Professional Affiliations
I am a member of the board of directors of the San Diego Family Law Bar Association and was part of the organizing committee for this group. I was the chair of the December 2013 educational seminar for family law practitioners. I was the past chair and co-chair of the Family Law Section of the San Diego County Bar Association. I am a 2013 winner of the Michale C. Shea Chair, an award given to a family law attorney for ethics and mentoring. I serve as a judge pro tem for family law settlement conferences. I believe that it is critical for attorneys to be there to support each other through education, mentoring and collegiality.
Personal Background
A native Philadelphian, I have learned to adapt to the sunny San Diego lifestyle. An avid sports fan, I have Charger and Padre tickets and always root for my Wisconsin Badgers! I enjoy the beach, kickboxing and knitting. I have a wonderful husband, a cute little dog and supportive friends and colleagues.
